Letting the Light In and Keep the Bugs Outposted on 9 May 2012 | posted in Fly Problems
I love holidaying in Spain - with the atrocious summers we've been having in the UK, I like to ensure I have hot weather when I go abroad. The problem with hot weather, however, is insects - especially where we travel too - often beside lakes and other wetland areas. That's why we have fitted fly screens to all of our caravan's windows - they keep the bugs out, and let the light in - and fresh air too.
Such small things can make a big difference when holidaying - if you feel uncomfortably hot, suddenly a caravan holiday can become a chore, and you look forward to the cooler climes of the UK - or you consider checking into the nearest air-conditioned hotel. My ideal holiday IS still a caravan holiday, so I do need to ensure temperatures stay moderately cool inside while keeping the place bug-free.
